Steamed Rice Cake (Puto)
It's so easy to prepare...
Ingredients:
4 cups of plain flour
2 cups of white sugar
2 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup evaporated milk
2 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of butter, melted
1 piece egg (raw)
Cheddar Cheese (sliced)
Procedure:
- Boil 4 cups of water in your streamer while preparing your mixtures.
- Combine all the dry ingredients in a deep mixing bowl (flour, sugar, baking powder mix well)
- Add the butter, evaporated milk, egg, and water) mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture in individual molds.
- Arrange the molds in the steamer and let it steam for about 30-40 minutes.
- When the puto is cooked, remove it from the mold and arrange in a serving plate.
- Serve with dinuguan or sopas. Don't forget to share. Enjoy!
